When you were young and your heart was an open book,
You used to say live and let live,
(You know you did, you know you did, you know you did)
But if this ever-changing world in which we live in
Makes you give it a cry,
Say live and let die!
Live and let die,
Live and let die,
Live and let die.

What does it matter to ya,
When you've got a job to do you gotta do it well,
You gotta give the other fellow hell!

You used to say live and let live,
(You know you did, you know you did, you know you did)
But if this ever-changing world in which we live in
Makes you give it a cry,
Say live and let die!
Live and let die,
Live and let die,
Live and let die
Paul McCartney was asked to write
this tune for the James Bond film
"Live and Let Die." Although it was
written just to fit the mood of the
film, and the required title, it
really offers us much more than
that. It is a direct reflection of
the way that our society doesn't
give a shit about anyone, as long
as it doesn't interfere with them
personally. As long as you don't
affect me, I don't care what
happens to you. This is no way to
build our world, and Paul was
trying to bring out attention to it.
